When you’re looking to increase internet sales, what you’re really need to look at is a way to increase “lead conversion”. The internet is all about three things – advertise your product (though blogging or video), get traffic (leads), and get sales (lead conversion).

But sometimes that’s just easier said than done. I mean, if it were that easy, why isn’t everyone raking in thousands online? So let’s take these steps one at a time and learn the best strategy to increase internet sales.

1) The Advertisement: Your First Step to Increase Internet Sales…

There are tons of ways to advertise online, and most of them cost big bucks. But I’m a fan of getting free traffic from Google, so that’s that this article is about. People like to buy from real people that they know, like and trust. So why not give them what they ask for?

You can get your name out there very easily and cost effectively though blogging or video marketing. I’m a strong advocate of team blogging, since it has built in web hosting, technical assistance, sales pages and online training.

Also, video marketing can get your link noticed on Google with just a little effort. Anyone with a smart phone of any kind can shoot a quick video in about five minutes. The more you do it, the better you’ll get and the more likely your leads will convert to sales.

2) Traffic: Your Second Step to Increase Internet Sales…

You will need to begin with the proper keyword research for either of the above two strategies. You can actually accomplish this task for free at the keyword research tool, “adwords.google.com”. You’ll need to create an account the first time you use it, but it’s really fast and simple to use. Simply type in the keyword phrase you intend on promoting, and the tool will give you comparable phases that people are actually out there searching for.

Then, simply place this phase in the content that you want to promote. If you’re promoting a video, make sure that the phase is in the title and within the first two lines on the description. Google is always looking for content that’s relative to what people are searching for.

3) Lead Conversion: How do you get your leads to want to buy?

This is the biggest factor. Much of this has to do with lead follow up. As I said before, people like to buy from real people they know, like and trust. And, you must remember that not all leads are equal. If you get your leads from solo ads, for example, you can expect not to make any sales immediately, although you might get a ton of leads that way.

But what’s an easier way to increase internet sales?

Lead conversion rate is also the reason why I’m a strong advocate of blogging and video marketing. Because when people read your blog or watch your video and learn about the “real you”, they feel like they know you, and this gives you a sale from a new “friend” that you’ve never even met!

The experts will tell you that the money is in the list. Get an automatic email response system, and then you can set it up to respond to your leads with your name, picture, videos, and let the system “make friends” from your leads on autopilot.

But not everything can be done strictly on autopilot. It’s also advisable to “broadcast” your list on a daily basis with the current events of your life. Let them know you’re a real person and, by all means, be yourself!

Of course, some products are easier to sell online than others, so I like to use a system that actually promotes itself. All I need to do is get people to watch the video that comes with the system, and my lead conversion rate is usually about one to every 30 leads buying immediately without any follow-up!
